Practical Strategies for an Attractive logo

Graphic design by Imajine

My beloved logo! Isn’t it lovely!

As creators, we get so attached to our work emotionally; we prefer to turn blind eye/deaf ear to critics/feedback.

How can you be sure it will work?

Self-Assess your work for all scenarios:

Take a step back and with eagle’s eye get clarity on how your logo fits all scenarios

1. Increase your logo size; set it on different backgrounds/textures, to assess it for signage board.
2. Reduce size and assess for website fixed header, sticky header
3. Further reduce its size and test for email signature

Live in questions; constantly question yourself. Does it work here – website/ signage/signature etc etc? How else can I make it better? What else is possible?

These questioning will open up a lot of possibilities for you.
I repeat, live in questions. You will surprise yourself.

A Tip:

One thing I can surely suggest is never, ever outline logos.
Logo outline may add character while creating them, a sure killjoy when tested for different scenarios.
Outline will kill your logo in small dimensions, ends up looking like a scrawny, fleshless ghost.

Here’s an example

On creation board, outline may look good, adds character

On reducing size like email signature; it looses itself

On different backgrounds,  like in signage
